Beginnings of the castle and the city |

The exposition Beginnings of the castle and the city has quite different conception compared with other exhibitions in the museum because of the fact that the subject of presentation is the castle hall itself, its architecture and restored embossed paving. The significance of the castle hall is great because it is the only intact well-preserved Czech castle hall from ages of the king P?emysl Otakar II. Several exhibition themes, presented in pyramidal type show cases, documents historical and archaeological research and reconstruction of the castle. There is also a closed room adjacent to the hall; it is a part of a so-called access balcony that runs around the yard at the level of the first floor and which provides access to individual representation rooms of the castle.
