Expositions of the Práche? museum were opened on 18 May 1993. The authors of their designs are mostly experts from the museum, and some parts were prepared by invited experts, e. g. PhDr. Tomáš Durdík, DrSc., PhDr. Jaroslav Kudrnáč, CSc., RNDr. Ji?í Machart, CSc., PhDr. František Šmahel, CSc. and Mgr. Ond?ej Kolá?. The architectural layout and concept was created by ing. arch. Vladimír Bouček, the graphic design was made by Radomír Postl and the expositions were prepared by the staff of the Art Centre in ?eské Bud?jovice. There is another exposition under construction, namely the exposition of ethnography and the Baroque arts. Each hall includes a figure characteristic for the respective period. In the area between the first and the second floor there is a clock mechanism from 1768 which strikes quarters, halves and whole hours and thus makes the visit to the museum even more impressive. The museum was awarded the prize of the European Museum of the Year by the Council of Europe for the expositions in the new style.
